Before You Get Started

To pin this alteration, you’ll need the one Scrap Scrunchie safety pin from your Ship Kit.

After placing your Shorten Length safety pin(s), lay your item on a flat surface.

Shorten Length alterations include: Straight Hem, Round Hem, Traditional Hem, Keep Waistband, and Keep Original Hem

To ensure we have enough fabric for your Scrap Scrunchie, you need to remove at least 2 inches of length from your item. Use the ruler on the bottom of your Scrap Scrunchie Instruction Card to measure.

Place the Scrap Scrunchie safety pin.

Secure the pin parallel to the bottom hem somewhere below the Shorten Length safety pin you already placed.

The distance at which you place the safety pin from the existing bottom hem will determine your Scrap Scrunchie’s size.

For an oversized scrunchie, place the safety pin closer to your Shorten Length safety pin.

For a smaller scrunchie, place the safety pin closer to the existing bottom hem.

Prepare the pinned item for shipping.

Put your item and its Instruction Card into your Ship Kit Return Bag.

After using all Instruction Cards, seal your Ship Kit Return Bag, attach the prepaid shipping label, and drop it off at any USPS location.
